Know Before You Go – Kings Island Camp Cedar
Luxury outdoor resort? Say less! I absolutely love camping with my family – but what I love even more? Camping with my family indoors with AC – full kitchen – bathroom/shower – cozy bed! We recently visited Camp Cedar for an overnight stay + day at Kings Island. It was so nice! This summer we are staying close and doing a few little day/overnight trips. Camp Cedar + Kings Island really felt like a true vacation – just 30 minutes from home!
When planning a camping trip there’s usually lots to pack and lots to plan! I wanted to share all that we learned during our stay so you know before you go!
Know Before You Go: Kings Island Camp Cedar
What Things To Pack?
Before our visit I was unsure what I needed to bring and what to leave at home. With a full day at Kings Island after check out – I wanted to be strategic about space in my trunk. Pack your usual things you personally need when leaving the house – but know Camp Cedar provides just about everything as far as amenities – and if not – I am sure it’s in the camp store! They have: pool towels at both the family and adult pool, utensils and cooking supplies, cups, microwave, iron + ironing board, towels in the cabin, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, soap, shampoo & conditioner. If traveling with baby/toddler know they do not have cribs/playpens available. Things we forgot & had to buy: lighter/fluid/charcoal/tongs for the grill + wood for fireplace!
Cashless Payments
Keep in mind Kings Island and Camp Cedar are both cashless!
So Many Kings Island Perks
Camp Cedar has so many perks for visiting the park! Camp guests get into the park 1/2 hour early! This was great to get in and begin all the bag checks before a line formed! We loved getting to walk on rides before things got busy. Trevor was pretty excited to be the second ride of the day on Stunt Coaster!
Camp Cedar also offers a shuttle bus to and from the park for their guests! This is incredible for guests to get an early start at the park – come back to eat, nap, or enjoy the pool – then head back to the park for evening rides and fireworks!
The Pool Is Awesome!
We loved the family pool and spent most of our visit there! It is a 5,000 square-foot, heated interactive pool! It was so perfect for Odie to play in the zero depth area. They also have a fun section with basketball hoops – the big kids & dad loved that! They also offer a separate adult pool.
